I was sitting in History 101 Western Civ. today talking about Greece and Sparta, These civilisations were around long before Rome and Christianity were even thought of. The Spartans were great worriers in there time. There whole life was structured around War and training, even the Spartan women were trained to fight. There were cultures before Greece and Sparta that did not see anything wrong with lying with another man. So in reality Homosexual relationships have been for a lot longer then the touted Christianity that condemns the actions.
The Greeks gave us so much in way of art and science yet, every day people over look the fact that they commonly practice Homosexuality. Why do we pick and choose what we pass on? Women in Greek society were neither seen nor heard, most of their life revolved around the home and taking care of it. If you look at Greek art you see no female depiction's they are all male and for the most part they are without clothing. To the Greeks the male body was the sign of all things good.
So why is it that all the "Christians" out there believe that Being gay is wrong. Being Gay has been around longer than Christianity. They believe because they believe then we all should. If you watch the History Channel or read any history book you will see that to Christians if you are a non-christian you were a "Savage" and you needed to be converted. It is still going on today. Ever been harassed by Mormons or Jehovah's Witness? They are both offshoots of Christianity.
Why does it matter if a man wants to be married to a man they are not hurting anyone.

A little comic relief
A man walks into a Bar. He sits down and orders a beer. Now the bartender looks at the guy kind of funny. He has a little guy sitting on his shoulder.
The bartender draws a nice cold Bud Draft and sets it in front of the man.
The bartender turns around and the little guy runs down the big guys arm and kicks over his beer. Then return to his shoulder and sits down. The big guys flags the bartender down and ask for another one. Again the bartender get a Bud and sit it in front of the guy and the little guy runs down and kicks it over runs back up and sits down.
Again the guy flags down the bartender and ask for another beer. Again he gets him one ans sits it down on the bar in front of him, and again the little guy runs down and kicks it over. The bartender comes back with another full beer and before he sits it down ask the big guy "Whats up with that dude on your shoulder?"
Well that is a long story but to make it short. I was an astronaut and i went into space and landed way off course. I was looking for food and wood, i came across this oil lamp in the sand. I went to rub it and POOF a Gennie popped out and gave me three wishes. My first wish was to be young and youthful forever. my second wish was to have plenty of money for ever and I had it in my bank account. My third wish was to have a 10" prick, the little fucker has been with me ever since.....

Dead Beat Parents
Why is it that even if a parent is not paying child support they still have a right to see the children? To me if they can not come up with the money to support their kids all the time then they can not come up with the money for them to come and visit.
I have two children that live with me now. When they did not live with me I tried to make arrangements to send support their mother would not set up a bank account so i could send her a direct deposit every month. To top it all off she moved around a lot so i never had an address fro her and the kids. I was in the army at the time and during this I was going out for weeks on end training for a upcoming deployment. I was harassed at work about not paying child support. I informed them that i had no idea where my kids were to send support. I did everything I could to support them. The Child Support Enforcement agency that was coming after me ended up taking 50% of my paycheck every two week leaving me with barley enough money to live on. I ended up losing my apartment and became homeless (While active duty Army). I was thankful to have some friends that would let me stay with them.
Now the kids live with me full time, their mother does not pay and has never tried to pay child support yet she gets everything she asks for in court. I find this very unnerving, why well when I was paying out over $700 a month she took the children and moved out of the state and no one would inform me where she took my kids. They told me to my face that I had no right to know where she was living. It did not matter that she was hiding my children from me. She broke the law by obtaining Medicaid for the kids when they had free medical care threw Tricare (Military health care). They said so what she did nothing wrong, yet i got stuck with the bill to the tune of $10,000 +. Now they live with me and she does not work and stopped working when she got papers to show up in court for a custody hearing. A hearing that she did not even show up for.
The court left the visitation wide open allowing her to do what ever she wanted and left me with no recourse. She told me to Fuck off and if I wanted the kids I had to come and get them. It cost me the price of 4 plane tickets last minute. Still nothing was done to help me. Then I went back to court to get visitation set and she still got what she wanted. They didn't even care what i had to say. I was fighting an uphill battle with no lawyer which she some how had the money for. She still has not paid a dime in child support for over 4 years. I am told that the back support that should be mine I can not get because of some stupid reason.
Why is it that women can get away with so much yet, I make every effort to do the right thing and the same people try to throw me in jail. They make me feel like Because I have a penis and testicles I am the EVIL bastard no matter what. My daughter needed glasses it took my new wife and me two days to figure out that she needed glass yet, for size years my ex-wife could not figure out that my daughter needed glasses. My daughter has allergies to smoke, weeds, and pollen. My ex-wife still smokes in the house with her there and, there is not a damn thing I can do about it.
I feel that if you do not have money to support your ids then you should have no rights to demand anything if your mother or father. You should not be able to see them either. It might be hard on the kids for the time being, but in the long run it will be much better for them.

What is this world comming to
I was waiting for my wife in the local IHOP reading a news paper. I came to the Letters to the Editor section and started to read a story. This story talks about a 13 year old girl that is very upset at something she saw on a school bus. It turns out that two boy has a portable DVD player and were watching a pornographic movie on it. The girl called her mother and told her what happened. In turn the mother called the school to inform them what was happening on the bus and how this needed to stop. That day was Feb 13, three phone calls later and it is not feb 23 and nothing at all has been done about the boys who were back at it again the next day with their DVD player and pornographic movie.
It is a sad day when we let 13 year old boy engage in such behavior on a public school bus. This girl was obviously very upset about what she had seen. Although i believe the boys should be expelled from school for this, I also feel that the parents of said boys should also be made to answer for this very unapproved behavior. Too many people are so afraid to say NO to their children in these days I see many running wild all the time. They are running around restaurants playing video games in restaurants. People are not teaching basic table manners to children. let alone disciplining them when they break the rules, of course most of them i am sure don't have rules.
While dropping my children off at a day care one day a few years ago i seen a boy in my daughters class with a Starbucks coffee (Venti White Chocolate Mocha) and a bear claw the size of his head, walking into the daycare center. He looked at me and said "I jut can't start the day without my Starbucks". What in the world was that mother thinking? Maybe it is actions like this that cause kids to act out in class. I get a buzz when drinking one of drinks like that. I can imagine what a kid not even half my size gets from drinking it. Did I mention this poor boy could not see his own feet because his stomach was so big. The poor kids got winded just walking 50 feet into the daycare. His mother had to tie his shoe (A boy in second grade) because he could not bend over and reach his feet.
Now we have people like Britney and Anna Nichole Smith out there making babies. I am sorry but sometimes I think there needs to be a IQ test before someone is allowed to have children. Britney is in and out of drug abuse treatment. Anna Nichole is dead from a drug addiction. Right after her son was killed by Methadone A drug used to treat Heroin withdrawals along with other medical conditions. Britney shaved her hair because KFed said he was going to take the kids from her. I do not like either of them, yet I feel the kids would be better off with him.
I think we need to crack down on drugs and drug users. Get tougher on Drug dealers in the court system. We need to remove these from society and quickly, we need programs that work with our children to keep them off drugs. Drugs are for the week minded, I myself have never smoked, snorted, huffed, or shot up any kind of drug other than beer and cigs. Which are bad enough if you ask me.
About alcohol I believe that if you get one DUI that is it you never drive again. You were given the privilege to drive, by getting a DUI you have shown you can not handle it. It is not that hard, I am sorry i hate it when people whine about not having a drivers license because they got a DUI, I always say well if you were not stupid and drunk you would still have a license right? So shut your hole. Or I ask them "What gives you the right to in danger my family out of the roads?"
Why do we put up with this kind of behaviour from anyone? It boggles me all the time they way people act in public many times. Just the rudeness you get from just about everyone out there. From the looks of it we as a society are falling apart at the seams. It will not be long before we are just a limp pile of yarn on the floor watching why another country takes over our wonderful land.

GUN CONTROL
I am very much pro-gun, yet I take flak from many people in the gun community for my thoughts on gun control. I believe that there needs to be some kind of rules about the owning and purchasing of firearms. Why? because we need some form of checks and balances. If you don't have background checks then anyone can get a hold of any firearm they want.
I support keeping firearms out of the hands of people who do not need them (Criminals). I also support the rights of the people to keep and bear arms. The second amendment was intended to make sure that the government would not start infringing the other rights in the Bill of Rights. Without it the government can and will remove all rights we have. I just do not understand how so many people can not see that.
Why do you think that in over 230 years no other country has ever invaded the United States? Because we have so many firearms in the hands of the population. This is the same reason that Hitler never invaded Switzerland. At that time Switzerland had laws that required that every household have at least one firearm and that everyone in the household know how to use it. They had shooting matches all the time. Invading a country of trained marksman is nuts. It is like trying to fight a war against a country full of snipers. Who know the terrain better than you and can out shoot you in day of the week.
We have so many laws on the books that govern so many things it is hard to tell if you are breaking the law. The current administration has been passing laws that invade our privacy since the war on terror started. The Patriot Act is one of them. They want to tap our phones without a warrant or cause. A few months ago they came out with this background scatter X-ray machine that they want to put in airports that will look through the your cloths. This is just another way that the government is invading our privacy. What is it going to find that the currently searches will not? Nothing at all. I personally do not like the thought of some one looking through my cloths. I especially do not like the fact that they would want to do this to my children. How do I know that the TSA guy operating this piece of equipment is not pedophile? I do not. Neither does the TSA. They can not even make sure the uniforms their people are wearing fit properly.
It is a proven fact that banning firearms from the law abiding public lowers crime rates. In a report from Australia the murder and violent crime rates have raised since they banned firearms. It is not hard to see that people who break the law are not going to care if we ban firearms they do not buy them in a sporting goods store. I will not beat the cars kill more people than guns point to death anymore.
Firearms in the hands of law abiding people are proven to lower crime in given areas. More guns equals less crime is not just the name of a book. If you were going to rob people on the street are you going to do it in town A. a town where just about everyone owns and knows how to use a firearm or town B: where no one owns a firearm? I myself am going to go after the people in town B. I have no chance of getting shot in town B.
Hear is another way to look at this problem. If we would stop be so easy on criminals we would not have so many problems. I believe that for the most part there has to be something physically wrong with criminals, weather it is something in the brain chemistry or something else I am not sure. I do believe if we keep working on research we will find that there is something wrong in the body that accounts for a person becoming a criminal. The human brain is still very much unknown to us.
Our criminal justice system is in dire need of an overhaul. Judges need to be held accountable for the punishment they hand out. We have judges letting convicted child sex offenders out of jail after 6 weeks. That to me is unacceptable. I believe that the people that perpetrate crimes towards children should never see the light of day and they should never breath a breath of free air. They should be locked away in a 4x6 foot cell with nothing but a simple bed and a toilet. No tv no windows nothing. They should have no contact with another human ever. Now you have judges ordering the chartering of private jets to move people about at the cost to tax payers. These people are our of control.

Smoking Ban
Here in Virginia the big wigs are talking about banning smoking in all public buildings. I am a smoker for ten years now. I believe that it should be the right of all people to enjoy a mean in a smoke free environment.
People here are talking about taking rights away from the people and the owners of restaurants and bars. I guess the people that can't be around smoke for one reason or another have no rights. To me it is simple I smoke but i have no right to impose my bad habits on another person or child.
I lived in California when they banned smoking in all public buildings and i can tell you what it didn't hurt business one bit. For any bar or restaurant that banned smoking. I am surprised by some of the comments on a local news paper web site about how this is taking away our rights. I think that majority rules, the majority of the people do not smoke so there for when people who smoke and people who do not smoke the people who smoke are shit out of luck.
I do not look at it as removing rights but as a public health problem. That is being addressed. There is no reason that a smoker like myself can not sit down to dinner and not smoke. You are not going to die if you do not have a smoke for one hour.

What Gives us the Right
Our great country was founded on the thoughts that everyone should be free to do as the pleased, as long as it did not cause hurt or pain to another person. So why is it that we can go into another country and install our type of government? Didn't we fight a war about this about 230 years ago? Yes we did, England tried to rule over us with an IRON fist. We did not want anything to do with that. We kicked their tails and sent them packing with what was thought of at that time "terrorist type warfare".
I believe that our form of government is not perfect. That should be obvious to anyone that listens to the news or read a newspaper. What gives us the right to determine weather one form of government is wrong or right? Nothing in my eyes. It took many many years of hard work and blood shed before we became the Super Power we are today.
Take the Communist countries of Cuba and China. Cuba we have nothing to do with we boycott them and do not help the citizens of Cuba, yet we send jobs and money to China every day. China Ran over college students protesting communism with TANKS. China STOLE land from farmers to build stadiums for the 2008 Olympics nothing Castro has done has been that bad. We grew up with freedom to do as we pleased the people of Iraq grew up with a dictatorship. I believe that some people in this world can not handle the responsibility of freedom. I am not pointing the finger at the people of Iraq or anyone.
I believe we as a country should boycott the 2008 Olympics like we did with the 1980 Moscow Olympics. Even though we were boycotting the Soviet presents in Afghan.
Just a few thought from me....
